Dog owner and dog connected to terms & conditions in a clean modern setting

Effective date: June 17, 2026

Last updated: June 17, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of DogAllergyTest.ca, including browsing the website, creating an account, placing an order, purchasing a sample-collection kit or testing service, submitting a sample, receiving a report, communicating with customer support, and using website content.

DogAllergyTest.ca is operated by Cansoft Technologies Corp., operating as DogAllergyTest.ca. In these Terms, “DogAllergyTest.ca,” “Dog Allergy Test,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Cansoft Technologies Corp.

By accessing the website, placing an order, submitting a sample, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them. Do not use the website or purchase a service if you do not agree to these Terms.

Policies included in these terms

The following policies form part of these Terms:

Product descriptions, prices, checkout information, order confirmations, kit instructions, and product-specific terms presented before purchase also form part of your agreement with us.

If there is a conflict, product-specific terms presented at checkout will apply to that purchase, followed by these Terms and the policies listed above.

Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to place an order.

By using the website or ordering a service, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are the owner or authorized caretaker of the dog being tested.
  • You have authority to authorize the collection, submission, and analysis of the dog’s sample.
  • The information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
  • Your use of the website and services complies with applicable law.

You must not use another person’s identity, payment information, address, account, or personal information without authorization.

Nature of the service

DogAllergyTest.ca provides at-home sample-collection kits and arranges analysis of submitted dog samples.

Testing may be performed by an independent laboratory or testing provider acting on our behalf. By submitting a sample, you authorize us to provide the sample and information reasonably required to fulfill the order to the relevant laboratory and service providers.

The applicable product page, checkout page, order confirmation, and kit instructions describe the selected service, including:

  • The sample required.
  • The collection procedure.
  • The substances or categories included in the selected panel.
  • The price and applicable charges.
  • The estimated delivery period.
  • The estimated laboratory turnaround time.

Different products may include different panels, reports, testing methods, or sample requirements. You are responsible for reviewing the product description before completing your purchase.

Veterinary disclaimer

Website content, product descriptions, reports, articles, support materials, and customer-service communications are provided for general informational and screening purposes.

They do not replace:

  • An examination by a licensed veterinarian.
  • Veterinary advice or diagnosis.
  • Emergency veterinary care.
  • Medication prescribed by a veterinarian.
  • A treatment or dietary plan developed by a veterinarian.

A result may provide information about possible reactions or sensitivities to substances included in the selected panel. A result does not, by itself, establish a clinical allergy diagnosis or determine the cause of every symptom.

Do not begin, stop, or change your dog’s medication, treatment, supplements, or diet solely because of a test result. Discuss the report and any proposed changes with a licensed veterinarian familiar with your dog’s medical history.

Seek immediate veterinary care if your dog experiences difficulty breathing, severe swelling, collapse, seizures, persistent vomiting, or another urgent symptom. Do not delay emergency care while waiting for a kit or report.

Testing limitations

All testing has limitations. No test can guarantee that every allergy, sensitivity, health condition, or cause of symptoms will be identified.

Results may be affected by factors including:

  • The type, amount, age, condition, or quality of the sample.
  • Incorrect sample collection.
  • Contamination or mixing of samples.
  • Incorrect labeling.
  • Failure to dry, store, package, or return the sample correctly.
  • Shipping conditions or delays.
  • Your dog’s age, health, diet, immune response, medication, or treatment.
  • Substances not included in the selected panel.
  • The technical limitations of the testing method.

The absence of a reported reaction does not guarantee that your dog cannot react to a substance. A reported reaction does not necessarily establish that the substance is causing a current symptom.

Do not stop prescribed medication before collecting a sample unless instructed by a licensed veterinarian.

Website use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

  • Interfere with the website’s operation, availability, or security.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account, server, database, or system.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, malicious code, or harmful material.
  • Use unauthorized automated systems to scrape or extract website content.
  • Attempt to bypass website security or access restrictions.
  • Impersonate another person or business.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Place fraudulent orders or payment disputes.
  • Use the website to violate another person’s rights.
  • Alter, misuse, or misrepresent a test report.
  • Copy or commercially exploit website content without permission.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, systems, laboratories, service providers, or our legal rights.

Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected product or service. An automated confirmation acknowledges that we received your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted or processed.

An order is accepted when payment is approved and we begin preparing, fulfilling, or providing the purchased product or service.

We may decline, cancel, or limit an order when:

  • A product or service is unavailable.
  • Product or pricing information contains an obvious error.
  • Payment cannot be authorized or verified.
  • Fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected.
  • The delivery address is incomplete or unsupported.
  • Required information is missing.
  • The order cannot legally, safely, or technically be fulfilled.
  • The laboratory is unable to perform the selected service.
  • The order violates these Terms.

If we cancel a paid order before providing the affected product or service, we will refund the amount paid for the canceled portion.

Order confirmation

After you place an order, we will send an electronic order confirmation to the email address provided during checkout.

The order confirmation may include:

  • Our business information.
  • Your name and contact information.
  • The order date.
  • A description of the purchased product or service.
  • The price and currency.
  • Applicable taxes and shipping charges.
  • The total amount paid.
  • Delivery information.
  • Applicable cancellation, refund, and return information.

You are responsible for providing a working email address and reviewing the confirmation promptly. Contact us if the confirmation contains an error.

Prices, currency, and payment

Unless another currency is clearly displayed, prices on DogAllergyTest.ca are shown in Canadian dollars.

The total amount displayed at checkout may include:

  • The selected test or service.
  • The sample-collection kit.
  • Shipping charges.
  • Applicable taxes.
  • Other charges disclosed before payment.

You are responsible for reviewing the total price before submitting the order.

You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the payment method submitted with your order. You confirm that you are authorized to use that payment method.

If payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or otherwise not completed, we may suspend or cancel the order or withhold results until the balance is resolved.

Pricing and listing errors

We attempt to provide accurate prices, descriptions, and availability information. Errors may occasionally occur.

We may correct an obvious pricing, calculation, description, or availability error. If an error affects an order before fulfillment, we may:

  • Contact you for approval of the corrected information.
  • Offer an appropriate alternative.
  • Cancel the affected item or order.
  • Issue an applicable refund.

We will not charge an increased amount without your authorization.

Kit shipping and delivery

Kits will be shipped to the address provided during checkout. You are responsible for confirming that the recipient’s name, address, email address, postal code, and telephone number are accurate and complete.

We are not responsible for delays, returned shipments, additional charges, or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Shipping and delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly provide a written guarantee. Delivery may be affected by postal or courier operations, weather, customs, holidays, transportation interruptions, labour disputes, or events outside our reasonable control.

Tracking information may be provided when available.

Further information is available in our Shipping & Returns Policy.

Delivery problems

Contact us promptly if:

  • Your kit does not arrive within the estimated period.
  • The shipment appears lost or misdelivered.
  • The package arrives damaged.
  • The kit is incomplete.
  • You receive the wrong product.

We may request your order number, photographs, packaging information, tracking information, or other reasonable evidence before providing a replacement, refund, or other remedy.

Your mandatory rights under applicable consumer-protection law are not limited by this section.

Sample collection

You must read and follow all instructions provided with the kit.

You are responsible for:

  • Confirming that the kit is intended for the correct test.
  • Collecting the sample from the correct dog.
  • Using the supplied collection materials as directed.
  • Preventing contamination.
  • Labeling the sample accurately.
  • Allowing the sample to dry when required.
  • Completing all required forms.
  • Packaging the sample securely.
  • Returning the sample to the correct address.

Sample collection must be performed safely and without unnecessary pain or distress to the dog. Stop the collection attempt and consult a veterinarian if you cannot safely obtain the required sample.

We are not responsible for injury, distress, or property damage caused by unsafe animal handling or failure to follow the collection instructions.

Returning samples

Samples must be returned to the address stated in the kit instructions. Do not send a sample to another address unless we provide written instructions permitting you to do so.

Unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page, during checkout, or in the kit instructions, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the sample.

We recommend using a reliable, tracked shipping service and retaining the receipt and tracking number until delivery is confirmed.

We are not responsible for a sample before it is received by the correct laboratory or processing location. Shipping time is separate from laboratory turnaround time.

Laboratory turnaround times

Any turnaround time stated on the website, product page, order confirmation, kit, or communication is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

Laboratory turnaround begins only after:

  • The correct laboratory receives the sample.
  • The sample is accepted for analysis.
  • All required forms and information are received.
  • Any outstanding payment has been completed.
  • The laboratory has everything required to begin testing.

Turnaround estimates do not include kit delivery, sample-return shipping, weekends, public holidays, customs delays, recollection, payment delays, missing information, additional laboratory review, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Results may be completed earlier or later than the estimated date.

Unsuitable or failed samples

A sample may be rejected or may fail to produce a result when it is:

  • Insufficient.
  • Contaminated.
  • Damaged or degraded.
  • Incorrectly collected or labeled.
  • Improperly stored or packaged.
  • Otherwise unsuitable for testing.

If a sample fails because of a confirmed laboratory error, we may provide repeat testing, a replacement service, or another reasonable remedy without an additional laboratory testing charge.

If a sample fails because of collection, labeling, contamination, storage, packaging, shipping, sample quality, or failure to follow instructions, you may be responsible for:

  • Collecting a new sample.
  • Replacement-kit costs.
  • Additional shipping charges.
  • Recollection expenses.
  • An applicable retesting fee.

We will explain the available options and any additional charges before proceeding.

Reports and results

Results are normally delivered electronically to the email address or customer account associated with the order.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing an accurate and working email address.
  • Checking spam and junk folders.
  • Protecting access to your email and account.
  • Downloading and securely storing the report.
  • Informing us promptly if your contact information changes.

A report applies only to the dog and sample identified in the submission. It must not be altered, misrepresented, presented as applying to another animal, or used in a misleading or unlawful manner.

You may share the report with your veterinarian or another person authorized by you.

We may issue a corrected report to address a clerical, formatting, identification, or administrative error. A corrected report replaces the previous version.

Cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order.

Cancellation eligibility may depend on whether:

  • The kit has been prepared.
  • The kit has been shipped.
  • The sample has been submitted or registered.
  • Laboratory processing has started.
  • The report has been completed.

If an order has not entered fulfillment or shipment, cancellation may be possible. Once fulfillment, shipping, sample processing, or testing has started, cancellation may no longer be available or may be subject to reasonable nonrecoverable charges, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Cancellation requests are handled under our Refund Policy and applicable consumer-protection law.

Returns

Contact us and obtain return instructions before mailing an item back.

Return eligibility may depend on whether the kit has been opened, used, damaged, personalized, registered, or associated with a submitted sample.

Returned items must be sent in the condition required for review. Items that have been opened, used, contaminated, damaged, or returned in an unsellable condition may not qualify for a return unless required by law or caused by our confirmed error.

Unless the return results from our confirmed error, a damaged shipment, or a statutory cancellation right, return-shipping costs may be the customer’s responsibility.

Further information is available in our Shipping & Returns Policy.

Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method. Processing time may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.

Once a sample has been submitted, received, registered, processed, or testing has begun, the testing portion of the purchase may be non-refundable because laboratory resources and services have been committed, except where:

  • Applicable law requires a refund.
  • We made a confirmed error.
  • The laboratory made a confirmed error.
  • We cannot provide the purchased service.
  • Our Refund Policy expressly provides otherwise.

A refund will not normally be provided solely because:

  • The result is negative, inconclusive, unexpected, or unwanted.
  • The test does not identify the expected substance.
  • Your dog’s symptoms continue.
  • A substance is not included in the selected panel.
  • You decide not to use or review the completed report.
  • You disagree with the informational interpretation of the report.

Complete refund information is available in our Refund Policy.

Mandatory consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

Depending on the circumstances, statutory cancellation or refund rights may apply where:

  • Required information was not disclosed before the online contract was entered into.
  • The contract or order confirmation does not contain legally required information.
  • You do not receive a copy of the online contract within the period required by law.
  • The purchased goods or services are not supplied within the legally applicable period.
  • The product or service is materially different from what was represented.
  • Another mandatory cancellation, refund, warranty, or consumer right applies.

If a distance-sales contract is validly canceled under applicable British Columbia law, refund and return obligations will be handled in accordance with that law, including applicable deadlines and responsibility for reasonable return costs.

Where these Terms conflict with a mandatory legal right, the mandatory legal right will apply.

Accounts and account security

Some website features may permit or require a customer account.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information.
  • Keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • Restricting access to your device and account.
  • Updating your information when it changes.
  • Notifying us of suspected unauthorized use.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless the activity resulted from our failure to use reasonable safeguards.

We may suspend or restrict an account that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.

Communications

By providing an email address or telephone number in connection with an order, you agree that we may contact you regarding:

  • Order confirmation and payment.
  • Kit preparation and shipment.
  • Missing or incorrect information.
  • Sample processing and laboratory status.
  • Results and reports.
  • Customer support.
  • Safety, fraud, or security issues.

Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law. You may withdraw consent to marketing emails using the unsubscribe option or by contacting us.

Withdrawing from marketing communications does not prevent us from sending transactional messages required to fulfill an order.

Privacy and data use

Our collection, use, retention, protection, and disclosure of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

Information may be provided to service providers involved in:

  • Payment processing.
  • Fraud prevention.
  • Website hosting and security.
  • Customer support.
  • Kit preparation and fulfillment.
  • Shipping and delivery.
  • Sample processing.
  • Laboratory analysis.
  • Report delivery.

Do not submit personal, financial, veterinary, or confidential information that is not reasonably required for the service.

Intellectual property

The website and its text, design, graphics, photographs, logos, branding, product names, reports, software, databases, and other content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, and nontransferable right to access and use the website for its intended purpose.

You may download and retain a purchased report for your records and provide it to your veterinarian.

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • Copy website content for commercial use.
  • Republish or distribute website content.
  • Modify or create derivative works from website content.
  • Use our branding in a misleading manner.
  • Sell or sublicense website content.
  • Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices.

Rights granted by applicable law remain unaffected.

Customer submissions

If you submit a review, testimonial, comment, photograph, message, or other content, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to submit it.
  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • It does not violate another person’s rights.
  • It is not unlawful, abusive, defamatory, deceptive, or misleading.
  • It does not contain malware or harmful code.

You retain ownership of your content.

When you submit content for publication, you grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, format, and display it for operating and promoting the website and services.

We may remove submitted content that violates these Terms.

Third-party services and links

The website may contain links to or use services supplied by laboratories, couriers, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, veterinarians, or other third parties.

Third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices.

We do not control an unrelated third-party website or service and are not responsible for its independent content, availability, policies, security, or conduct.

A link does not mean that we endorse every statement, product, or service offered by the third party.

Service availability and changes

We may add, remove, suspend, or modify website features, product descriptions, test panels, prices, laboratories, collection methods, shipping options, or service details.

We will not materially reduce a service already purchased without providing an appropriate alternative, adjustment, or refund where required.

We may temporarily suspend services for maintenance, security, technical issues, laboratory availability, legal requirements, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website, content, kits, reports, and services are provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The website will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Every sample will produce a result.
  • Every possible allergen, sensitivity, or condition will be identified.
  • A report will explain every symptom.
  • A particular treatment or dietary change will be effective.
  • Shipping or testing will be completed by a particular date.
  • Third-party systems or services will always be available.

Nothing in this section excludes a warranty, condition, guarantee, or legal right that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DogAllergyTest.ca, Cansoft Technologies Corp., and their directors, officers, employees, contractors, laboratories, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses arising from the website, an order, a kit, a sample, a report, or a service.

This includes, where legally permitted, losses resulting from:

  • Delayed shipping or laboratory testing.
  • Loss or damage of a sample in transit.
  • Failure to follow collection instructions.
  • An unsuitable, contaminated, or mislabeled sample.
  • Decisions made without veterinary advice.
  • Unauthorized account access caused by failure to protect login credentials.
  • Website or service interruptions.
  • Reliance on general website information as a substitute for veterinary care.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim relating to a purchased product or service will not exceed the amount paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot legally be limited, mandatory consumer rights, or another liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

Your responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses, liabilities, and expenses resulting from:

  • Your unlawful use of the website or services.
  • Your material violation of these Terms.
  • Information or samples submitted without proper authority.
  • Fraud or intentional misrepresentation.
  • Infringement of another person’s rights.
  • Misuse, alteration, or misrepresentation of a report.

This section does not require you to compensate us for losses caused by our negligence, unlawful conduct, or breach of these Terms.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather or natural disaster.
  • Fire, flood, epidemic, or public-health emergency.
  • War, terrorism, civil disturbance, or government action.
  • Postal, courier, customs, or transportation disruption.
  • Labour disputes or supply shortages.
  • Utility, internet, or telecommunications failures.
  • Cyberattacks not caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards.
  • Interruption of laboratory operations.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and resume affected services when reasonably possible.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account or website feature where we reasonably believe:

  • These Terms have been materially violated.
  • The website is being used unlawfully or fraudulently.
  • Suspension is necessary to protect customers, systems, laboratories, or service providers.
  • Payment remains outstanding.
  • Suspension is required by law or a competent authority.

Suspension or termination does not affect rights, liabilities, or payment obligations that arose before termination.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

The courts located in British Columbia will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.

Before beginning formal proceedings, please contact us and provide a reasonable opportunity to review and resolve the concern.

When contacting us about a dispute, include:

  • Your name.
  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • The outcome you are requesting.
  • Relevant records or photographs.

This informal resolution process does not prevent either party from exercising a legal right or remedy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations.

The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law permits otherwise.

The Terms in effect when an order is accepted will normally govern that order. Updated Terms will apply to future website use and future orders.

General provisions

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

No waiver

Our failure or delay in enforcing a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.

We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, financing arrangement, or transfer of the business, provided that your mandatory legal rights are not materially reduced.

Entire agreement

These Terms, the policies incorporated into them, the applicable product description, checkout information, and order confirmation form the entire agreement concerning the relevant product or service.
